I will soon be embarking on an opportunity of a life time, and am committed to writing about my experience so that I can have the memories to look back on and relive the moments over and over. Writing has always been a love of mine and with having very special and close people in my life who love me dearly and are supporting this adventure, I feel it is also fair to share my experience, and what better way then to blog about it!
AUSTRALIA: The worlds smallest and dryest continent, sixth largest country in the world, slightly larger than the United Sates, but with ten percent of the population, consists of only six states, and is also well known for it's great barrier reef, and world's largest coral reef.
NEW SOUTH WHALES: Australia's most populated state located in the south-east of the Country with Sydney as it's capital. Sydney, with 69.9% of New South Whales population, is well known for the Sydney Opera House, which was completed in 1973 and has become a World Heritage Site.
BURRADOO: a small village about an hour and a few minutes south of Sydney with a population less than three thousand people of which I will be adding to, for a year. Yes, a year!
I have a work and holliday visa for Australia that allows me to stay there for up to a year. Now, you are probably wondering exactly what i'll be doing there. I will be living with a very nice family and helping them care for their two adorable boys as an au pair, and yes, I will be safe.
-An au pair (plural: au pairs) is a foreign-national domestic assistant working for, and living as part of, a host family. Typically, au pairs take on a share of the family's responsibility for childcare as well as some housework, and receive a small monetary allowance for personal use.-
If you know me well, you know I love children and caring for them. I love being apart of their lives and being able to watch them grow. This is an opportunity for me to work doing what I love while being able to travel. Every one is different, but I can't ask for much more than that! I am always one to be spontanious and take risks in life, and this is definitely a once in a life time chance that I have chosen to take.
I leave in less than two months and I can barely wait!
I'm sure you are also wondering about Bobby and I, and we will unfortunately be apart during that time, but with him getting orders to go to A school very soon for his career in the Coast Guard and his training program being elleven months long in North Carolina, we would of not been able to be together anyhow. With Bobby focusing on his studies, and me exploring a new part of the world, this year shall fly by for both of us and we will soon be together again, and of course, visits will be a goal!
I plan on posting blogs as often as I can and sharing pictures, etc. I appreciate the support and couldn't be more excited for my journey ahead and wish I could take you all with me!

"I see my path, but do not know where it leads. Not knowing where I am going is what inspires me to travel it."
